Monty Berry presents the Fleener Spirit Award to Pam Bewley.
The inaugural Gary Fleener Spirit award was presented to Pam Bewly, of Commercial Title & Escrow, for her incredible enthusiasm, energy and positive attitude assisting in Oklahoma CCIM events for over 25 years. Pam has constantly provided assistance with OKCCIM Golf Tournaments, Scholarship Programs, Networking Luncheons, and License Delivery courses. Most importantly, Pam has always represented the highest integrity and ideals, graciousness, and selfless service and attitude to all of the members of the brokerage community, truly exemplifying the true ideals and spirit of Gary Fleener.
Gary M. Fleener passed away October 28, 2015, leaving behind an incredible legacy to both the Tulsa commercial real estate industry and our OK CCIM Chapter organization. In an effort to honor an amazing legacy of Fleener, the OK CCIM Chapter has created an annual award program to be given at the Christmas luncheon to recognize an OK CCIM Chapter Member who exemplifies the ideals and principles that Gary Fleener represented to our CCIM community.
In the 1990’s, Fleener helped organized Commercial Investment Marketing Group (CIMG), a monthly broker luncheon in Tulsa, with the OK CCIM Chapter. Through Fleener’s tireless efforts to generate and energize broker attendance (with extensive personal phone calling), the new affiliation with the OK CCIM Chapter became an instant program success. Today, the OK CCIM Marketing luncheon draws 70- 80 + brokers and sponsors each month, with members bringing great enthusiasm and energy to make deals with each other and do business with our sponsors. Fleener was also extremely involved with the OK CCIM Chapter leadership including Chapter President in 1997 and was honored as The Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors Commercial Realtor of the Year in 2003.
Fleener had the greatest sense of humor, a constant consideration of others, devotion and loyalty that never wavered, and the kind of integrity that brings out the best in people. For many who knew him, Fleener became a Teacher, a Mentor, a Leader, and most importantly a genuine and caring friend to all.
The Oklahoma CCIM Chapter committee for this award set out criteria embracing Fleener’s legacy with the following items:
