MendyMelinda Louise “Mendy” Parish By Staff Reports September 4th, 2014

Melinda Louise Parish, 54, of Tulsa, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014. Mendy loved to travel, ride her bike along the Arkansas River, and she adored the view from her window, but more than anything else, Mendy loved her family and took the greatest pleasure in life when she was with them.

She lived for the holidays and would turn any moment into a special occasion if it meant that she could be with the people she loved. Mendy was a devoted wife and mother as well as a passionate real-estate broker. Her employer, and close friend Tom O’Brien, described what many are feeling when he noted that he will miss her “unbelievable zest and enthusiasm for life.”

Mendy is survived by: her husband, Richard; her daughters, Sara and Virginia Overby; her parents, David and Brenda Willhoite; her brothers, Joe and Mike Willhoite and their families; and countless others whose lives she touched with her smile, laughter, and kindness.

It was Mendy’s wish to be cremated and have her life celebrated. Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. at McNeillies Restaurant, 409 E. 1st Street,Tulsa.
